we finally got the roofs on the model homes. our roofer is a real pain in the ass and wants everything perfect; that's why we chose him. we'd rather have a couple headaches now than a leak later. at the same time the stucco guys are wrapping the buildings in waterproof paper before putting on their lathe. the drywallers were going to start today but with rain in the forecast we thought it better to postpone until the buildings are fully wrapped.
as the window flashing is installed on the first two homes, the next phase is quickly catching up. in order to get extra weatherproofing between the buildings the framers are building every other house and then the walls for the in-between houses will be slid into place. pictures of this process are forthcoming.
insulation went into the first two homes today. the building are hers rated as part of our leed certification so the insulation is carefully inspected above and beyond the building code standard.
